
Charles "Chip" Taylor joined the Tennessee State University athletic staff as the men and women's golf coach in the Fall of 2007.
Taylor, a 1988 high school graduate of Battle Ground Academy, comes to the Tiger program after spending one season at Lipscomb University where he was an assistant golf coach. Taylor was a four-year letter winner and two-time co-captain of the Austin Peay State University golf team and was a member of the Governors' 1989 Ohio Valley Conference Championship team.
Chip has been a member of the Professional Golfers Association since 1999 and was the head professional golfer at Graymere Country Club and King's Creek Golf Course from 2000 - 2007. Nine of his junior golfers have gone on to play college golf. He is a two-time member of the Tennessee PGA Assistants' Cup team and has won several Tennessee section events.
He is married to Tracie Taylor and they have two children, Alec and Zach.
